In this study, we demonstrated that thanks to the novel design of the T-Control® catheter, which mimics the natural functioning of the urinary tract, the formation of biofilms can be prevented or delayed. We achieved this without applying any specific coating materials, thus avoiding other potential adverse effects.

New collaborations to shed more light on nursing May 2023
We started a new study in Belgium. We will soon see how our innovative T-Control® catheter can facilitate the work of midwives. In collaboration with Artevelde Academy, we evaluate the usability of T-Control® in a different, but equally relevant environment.
The first midwives who had the opportunity to participate in the study have shown very good acceptance, both of the catheter itself, and of its accessory that facilitates the mobilization of patients, offering a more comfortable alternative vs common devices.

Superiority vs gold standard demonstrated by in-vitro model July 2020
Biofilm creation - among others - is one of the most important factors linked to infections and almost the only one that can be measured through simulation.
T-Control® demonstrated superiority vs gold standard, i.e. significant differences were observed between the biofilm quantity generated on the product´s surface.
This result reinforces the hypothesis that T-Control®, with it´s multifactorial approach towards infection prevention addressing several route-causes at the same time, has high chances to show significant benefits in clinical settings.

We also managed to introduce the T-Control® concept to the participants and analyze the added value of the product in the whole Patient Journey.
Many thanks for our partners, IEXP Patient Experience Institute and Asociación Continentia for the collaboration.
Results to be published soon!
