Carlos Bezos, PhD in Social Anthropology, is recognized as one of the pioneers of Patient Experience in Spain.
He is founder of the Patient Experience Institute (IEXP), which is considered a reference entity in this field. Since 2016, IEXP has been involved in several proyects within different therapeutic areas and around several countries. They collaborated with patients and professionals too with the aim of improving care, in terms of processes, protocols, referrals, diagnoses, etc., promoting therapeutic adherence, patient-centered prescription and decision making or the reduction of drop-out rates in clinical trials. |
Interview with Oriol Solá-Morales about innovation, health economics and sustainability.

Oriol Solá-Morales, specialist doctor in internal medicine, with an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and a PhD from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili . He worked as director of AQuAS, the Agency for Quality and Health Assessment of Catalonia (2007-2011), where he focused on the field of healthcare planification and healthcare policy. During his carreer, he also worked as director of Innovation and Strategy for several hospitals, as a member of the Regional Research Advisory Council, and as an adviser of two Health Ministers. As the founder of HiTT, transformed in 2019 into the HiTT Foundation, he contributes to improve innovation in healthcare and to establish sustainable healthcare models.
Oriol is also an adjunct professor of Pharmacology and Health Economics at the International University of Catalonia and is a lecturer at different national and international institutions. He is a Research Fellow at the OHE (Office for Health Economics). |
